Spotters At CDG Cooperate With Security Services

Tue Sep 19, 2006 6:09 am

Yesterday evening, on the first channel of french TV (TF1) for the news at 8:00 pm, there was an interesting video about spotters at CDG who are now "authorized" by the police and cooperate with them to report any suspicious activity around the airport in relation to terrorism. Here's the link to the video. Of course, it's in french but even for those who don't speak French, it's still nice to see a few planes like AF A343, B777 and Concorde, Saudi Arabian B747, AC A332, Aéropostale...

This has been going on for quite some time at a few North American airports. It is good to hear that it is becoming more global.

Good on you, French authorities.
Good flying

I've heard that if you join the French spotters' organisation, Kerozen, and once you do that, you can apply for authority to take photos. You don't have to be French (it would be against EU law to discriminate).
