Wed Sep 20, 2006 9:24 pm

Hello all!

What are the TSA rules on transporting medication requiring refrigeration like Byetta or Insulin? Is blue ice allowed on carry-on?

Any medication is allowed on board in your carry on luggage. Insulin can be kept at room temperature for up to 1 month, not sure what Byetta is.

I just looked on the WebMD site and found that Byetta is a medication that is used in addition to others that help control Type 2 diabetes. Unfortunately the site does not instruct as to the storage of the drug.
