they usually get the new paint when there ready for an overhaul check. so its not becuase it needs the new colors. its all about when its due for D-Check

To the best of my knowledge it will not be this winter (2006-2007) althought the only remaining 767 not painted (648/248) is scheduled for repaint in November 2006 so get your shots now !

Cheers

When the aircrafts get a repaint...

Do you thimk there is a chance they might give the cabin's a spruce up?

Im not saying the cabins are really bad or in need of a total refurb, but I have flown on the A330 between LGW and the USA about 20 times now and in the last year of two the cabins are looking a little tired and uncared for...

Maybe just re-cover the seats and new carpets. Esspecially in economy, where the seats are beginning to look a little thread bare in places, and just in general looking very worn and well used...

I don't think the grey seating helps and ages what is a very modern aircraft!

Well I think a good cleaning might take care off that. I was on a flight in a Airbus A319 (US East) with the new colours and you really see a difference in the inside compared to the other a/c I have seen from US especially the carpet and I think it has only been cleaned.
US Airways I miss you!

I could be wrong but I don't think this is correct. The MX and paint facilities are in diffrent states. The reason all the 767s are painted and non of the 333 are is because during the winter the the 330s are still used but the 767s aren't, so they were able to get them done.

Well, when you take the bird apart, you aren't going to paint it in the old colors when you put it all back together again.

Look at the 737s. Who says you have to paint them?
