BBC News Report This Morning

Wed Sep 27, 2006 6:10 pm

Good Morning all

I was watching the News on BBC this morning, and there was a report into a LHR incident that happend in Jan 2006,about a ELAL passenger plane, that flew low 1200ft above West London and lost radar info and ATC comunications.

But when i went onto there website,i couldn't find eny info on this. Also looked on the local London website, which also had no info but was reported on the tv.
Does enyone recall of this Incident?

I also surched, the CAA & NTSB websites and came up with nothing.

This probably comes from the AAIB, as they are responsible for any reports regarding incidents about aircraft and air safety.

AAIB Report

Boeing 747-412, 4X-ELS

Quote:

During an ILS approach to Runway 27R with the autopilot engaged, the aircraft descended to 1,200 ft altitude at about 8 nm from the runway threshold. The flight crew recovered the aircraft to the ILS glidepath manually and landed normally. Investigations revealed no fault, either on the aircraft or in the ground equipment, to explain the incident.
