How To Upgrade Using Krisflyer Miles?

Thu Sep 28, 2006 1:57 am

Hi:

I am booked to fly DEL to SFO on the 23rd of October in economy. I however wish to get an u pgrade using my fathers kris flyer miles (i am his nominee). He has 75700 miles in his account and i need 50,000 for an upgrade all the way to SFO from DEL.

I am wondering:
1. How do i transfer the miles to my account to get the upgrade?
2. What is the procedure if different from above?
3. I have 27,000 miles in my account already, so if i transfer the 75700 miles would that mean i have a total of 102700 miles?
4. Can i use krisflyer miles on other star alliance airlines particularly TAP and LH?

Any help would be highly appreciated.
regards
nitin

My first option would be to call SQ and get the correct information right from the horses mouth. It really does not matter what anyone on the board says or tells you as the answer really lies with SQ.
