VS A/c RON At SFO On 27/09/06?

Thu Sep 28, 2006 2:13 pm

does anyone have any ideas or clues as to why when I driving past SFO at 9pm I saw a VS aircraft parked by the old TWA cargo hangers? opposite from the South Terminal (gates used by CO and AS)?

Any time you see an aircraft parked in that area that should have departed a few hours earlier would say to me that it went Technical.

well it didnt look as if they were working on it.. there was no lights on it.. so either they fixed the issue or they are waiting for the part..wonder if they were able to fly the passengers out on the 2 BA and the 1 remaning UA flight for the night or did they shack them up at the hotels?

I drove by SFO a few hours back. It's still parked there and another VS 747 was at the gate...

Hell, they should take a page off of BA's book and pack it with pax and just fly it back home. They might make it to MAN.  duck

Interesting with United's Maintenance HQ there that an engine replacement at SFO couldn't be done.
