In principle, I don't see any difference.

I guess it depends if you have the balls to admit you have such things.

While I am quite sure some a-netter's here would volunteer to check for possible terror materials in well breasted women, there is a serious side of this. For many years illegal drugs have been smuggled inside of prosthetic legs and other limbs, phony pregnancy pillows, false/padded bras, and of course canes and other assistance devices for those with mobility handicaps. False breasts are used by women whom had lost them to breast cancer, so considerable care must be used if want to go there as to security.
For terrorists to consider this to smuggle weapons, bombs and explosive materials is not a reach and should be looked for in a properly respectful way to the 99.999999% of such persons who are legitment with such devices.

This MUST be handled with the utmost care. Most of the people that need prosthetic devices have already experienced considerable trauma. Insensitive behaviour by the TSA would add literally add insult to injury. Consider, Iraq war vets being treated carelessly by TSA.

Perhaps, the TSA needs to install small windowless rooms where passengers could be searched in private.

You're going to haul off some handicapped person to a private room to search them. God, why don't you just make life even more miserable. If that is the case, then EVERYONE needs to be put in a private room and get their private parts inspected...period.

Would you prefer for TSA to say: "Ms. Smith could you remove your breast prosthesis so I can inspect it right here in the middle of the airport with 200 people standing around."

You have to give people some dignity.
