Heads Up IND Spotters!

Tue Oct 03, 2006 10:28 am

Due to all the big storms around Chicago, IND is getting lots of diversions. Most notably is 3, yes 3, 747 freighters including Cathay Pacific Cargo 747-400F, JAL 747-200F and Nippon Cargo 747-200F all enroute from ANC to ORD. Also a couple of American, United and Southwest aircraft. Up to 10 diversions so far. Anyone else have any info. Might be a good night to run out to the airport!

IND should get a lot of diversions. Judging from the Radar, ORD will be on groundstop for pretty much the rest of the evening. Severe thunderstorms have slowed traffic down at ORD, MDW and are also affecting some the primary reliever airports for diversions of MKE and RFD Everything will be diverting South or East meaning that DTW and IND will be getting a lot of diversions. United, American and Southwest will not be having good nights tonight.
If you have never designed an airplane part before, let the real designers do the work!
