I remember the good old days when during the peak season there would be five daily flights from NY to STT, 2 daily Pan Am flights (727, A300), 2 daily AA
flights (727, A300) and one daily CO
Back then all those flights stopped in St.Croix, now none of them stop at St.Croix. Im surprised CO
-STT flight does not stop at St.Croix anymore, located next to the airport on St.Croix is the Hess Refinery which is one of the largest oil refineries in the World. Hess Oil Company is headquarted in Woodbridge New Jersey three Exits South of EWR
along the Turnpike.
.John and St.Thomas are one of my favorite places, I've been there on vacation 4-5 times. It got hit hard by a Huricane in the Mid-'90s and it's taken a while to come back but hopefully it will continue to grow in popularity as a destination other than just day cruise folks.
I think DL
might have very briefly in the mid '90s had a MCO
-STT flight, hopefully someone like B6
would re-launch MCO
