Destinations For New SQ 773ER

Where does SQ plan to use their new 773ER? Is Sydney a possible destination?

Sydney (the kangaroo route) will be with the A380.

Possibilities for the 777-300ER? Some say MAN, some say ZRH. But truthfully, SQ has not announced anything yet. It is pretty vague, because the 773ER will seat as many (or less) than SQ's 772ER because of its more luxurious interior. So, I take it they will use the aircraft where they aren't competitive enough?

Possibilities in my opinion: SIN-TPE-LAX, SIN-DXB, SIN-MAN, SIN-JNB, SIN-AMS, SIN-ZRH, and maybe SIN-AMS-ORD and SIN-HKG-LAS.

Delete HKG-LAS, Add SIN-ICN-SFO

Delete AMS-ORD, Add SIN-ORD

But the A380 will not arrive until a year after SQ receives its first 773ER. Sydney could be a possible destination in the interim.

SIN-AMS

I would love to see this route upgraded to the 77W, it would be a first for AMS.

SQ are going to despatch the 773ER on several Australian routes, but which ones yet is to be determined.
I was told that in a meeting with SQ execs last week.

No, not Sydney for sure. It is something like this: A 747 leaves SIN and goes to LHR, then it goes to SYD, stopping at SIN. They it finally returns to SIN. So, if you want SYD with the 777-300ER, LHR will also have to be 777-300ER, and that won't happen.

SYD can get the 777-300ER is they add another frequency, but I don't know if there is that much demand for 4 flights a day.

I wouldn't be too sure.

Let's see what happens in the first half of 2007.

SYD will keep the 744 as this was upgraded from a 773 some time ago? I would imagine PER, BNE or ADL will see the 77W

Will MAN or LAX ever see the 773ER in SQ scheme?

SIN-CGK is also a possibility, I think. They use their 345s and sometimes their 744s in this route, eventhough it's only 474 nm.

The only 2 routes that would make sense to me were MEL and SYD as the 773ERs are all equipped with F class and the only 2 australian destinations served with F class by SQ are SYD and MEL

The first route to receive SIA's B773ER is SIN-CDG-SIN.
