Primaris Airlines New Livery!

Fri Oct 06, 2006 4:04 am

Primaris Airlines acquired an ex-MX Boeing 752. This new 752 is going to be used to launch new routes from New York JFK which are LAX, SFO, ORD, & ATL. Their new livery sure looks attractive. You can also find another photo of it at j*tp*otos.net.

Enjoy!

Well it's better than the old one, but I'm not sold on this one either. I think the lack of titles & tail logo is my main issue.

VERRRRY SMART!! Can you imagine seeing a whole fleet of those? Dramatic, yet restrained. Amazing . . .

That's very weird...

... is it even finished yet? There's no airline titles on it.

I wonder when they're going to reorder the 737s and 787s?

Right now they are charter, so why add titles? If they ever do start the scheduled service, it's not hard to paint titles on to the livery, as I'm sure it was designed to have them...

I kind of liked the old one. Was as LAS when I first saw it. The new livery is whacky!

I love the colors.. not the scheme, although I admit it's original.

That red/maroon combination is beautiful. But somehow the scheme doesn't look as good as on the rendering on the 787s that we saw about a year or so ago, I think on Boeing's page.

This was done by Aerobrand, who have also done the nice new Maxjet colors, the so-so Spirit current livery and Taca's crappy livery

http://www.aerobrand.net/clients/clients.php

There's a Primaris 787 there too which doesn't show the livery well from that angle.

This must be in Spain, since there's that Hola 757 in the back and a funny billboard on the roof that means "our planes are maintained" but I don't know how to translate into English.

"Mantenidos" here it means more like "leeching" as when your parents give you everything.. can someone help me translating it?

What the heck is it supposed to be? Looks rather like a private jet, and one with a dumb livery at that.

I think its refreshing, new, and intuitive, not like what we see mostly nowadays...eurowhite. But it is missing the titles, but if they are not planning scheduled service anytime soon, the titles can wait.

Now that you mention it, ya ACs fleet would look pretty good with that livery. Kinda a revisited version if the old livery, and the euro white and black tail one mixed.

Well those are obviously two different aircraft, one is PW2000 powered while the other is an RB.211 aircraft. Maybe there's still one in the old scheme.

I do like the old colors better. The pattern at the 737NG and 787 LOI announcement, was a better mix: old colors with the new pattern.

The photo in reply 15 is the one I was talking about. Amazing how a small detail can make a big difference. See the red on the top front of the 757? It has a more vertical angle than on the drawing, and it makes the whole paintscheme appear less sleek

Air Canada could have done a livery with a maple leaf in those colors while adding something to the fuselage. They missed their chance.

The original Primaris 757 is still in the very UGLY old livery with that dull blue and fake metal paint.. minus Primaris titles. Instead it has the logos and titles of Santa Barbara airlines of Venezuela, to which it's leased. Looks slightly better with these added.

N740PA has RR engines while the new 752 has P&W. I love the sound that RR engines make.

About half of the people don't like it. That philosophy of oh a cheatline makes the plane look old blah blah blah it's nonsense.

If they had painted some nice fuselage lines on this thing instead of the weird shapes most people would love the look.

I hate some of the current design trends such as that retro crap interior in the new Mustang, and the older model to me looked more cutting edge from the outside, the new one looks like a girl car from the side and rear. Anyone think so too?

Now airline paintschemes are the ones who would look SOOO much better going old school  Smile

To me it says, "Circus Tent". Especially the rendering from the LOI announcement.

But maybe that's what they were going for.

I love the overall scheme, I just wish they would kill the white. I think it would look great with the orignial silver they used and the red/maroon combo.

I saw the plane today at LAS. It's sitting near the Signature terminal. It's really not as bad as the picture makes it out to be. It's actually quite nice in person.

I would have snagged a picture, but I left my camera at home. You can see it clearly from Las Vegas Blvd and Russell Rd when you get off the freeway.

not really that similar, but it reminds me of the last Frontier scheme before they went under. Overall, I like it.

Just for the info, the Primaris 757 in new livery has been in Las Vegas for the past two days. Its sitting next top the corporate jets near the strip.

I cannot imagine Primaris Airlines really dropped the original Aerobrand-design with the purple and lila colour. That one looked very nice and promising. What is the background story about changing it into red and maroon? The Primaris Airlines website is still showing the purple version:

I don't know if I like the fake metallic look. Their first 757 before it was leased to Santa Barbara and got some stickers looked very ugly in my opinion.. as the pic on reply 8 shows. That looks like a cargo plane.

my suggestion... get rid of the line that connects both stylized dual triangles. the straight line just makes the otherwise interesting lines look "clunky"...

No way! That'd be the coolest hybrid flying in latin america. N740PG must have been returned very very recently as I saw it only like 3 weeks ago at MIA, where the other Santa Barbara 757 (in full colors) had just been painted. It has a web adress on the rear/top of the fuselage.
