What Are MASs Plans After They Leave ARN?

Sun Oct 08, 2006 4:14 am

http://www.justplanes.com/News111.htm

Malaysia Airlines announced a number of changes on the following routes :

Route: Change: A/C:
KUL-Beirut Resumes on Oct 15th via Dubai with 3 flights a week A330-200
KUL-Cairo Service discontinued on Nov 1st
KUL-Cebu Frequency increases from 2 to 4 a week on Oct 30th B737-400
KUL-Hanoi Frequency increased from 7 to 9 a week on Oct 3rd B737-400
KUL-Newark Service via Stockholm discontinued on Jan 15th
KUL-Paris Frequency increases from 5 to 7 a week on Oct 29th B777-200

As I have highlighted, MAS will stop their KUL-ARN-EWR flights... Where would that leave this flight? Will they perhaps look for another European airport for this trip? Or are they scrapping it all together?

Thanks in advance. wave

I think they will increase their code share flights to AMS, or CDG, and route the pax via AF or KL. It makes more sense than 3/week flight to EWR anyway.

I have taken this flight twice, and LOVED it. Their service is impeccable and the price is half as SQ. I wish they put his on a daily service. But, they are also increasing the KUL-TPE-LAX to 6/wk, which is nice.

But the B777 business class is roomier than the B744 C class; more leg room.
