AA's More Room In Coach Progress?

Tue Jul 04, 2000 1:23 am

How is AA coming along? I am considering AA or UA for a trip in October, and am wondering if the F100 the schedule calls for is More Room Throughout Coach yet?
I know that their MD-80's and 738s are updated, but what about the rest?

They're at 50-75%. I don't know if hte Fokker is going to be getting more room in coach.. considering how few can fit in a Fokker..

If you're flying on a F100, you'd be flying americna eagle.. and as far as I know they're not making more room in coach.. only Americna Airlines is.. not Eagle..

The 737-800s have not been reconfigured yet. As of today, there are ten more F100s to complete, but they will all be done by October....

i just looked and AA has around 80-90% of their planes reconfigured, they already have done their 500th plane so it will be very likely that by october, the whole domestic fleet will have more legroom. choose AA over United.

Three more S80s to go. I would think that they will most likely be done by the weeks end IMHO.

AA737-800, you can check on the progress at http://aa.com/moreroom. According to the site, they have completed 538 aircraft, or 76% of the total fleet.

I recently flew on an MD-80 with the new seats. The new seat design is pretty nice and I had about three inches of legroom.(I am 5ft. 10in.)

I just flew a reconfigured 757. The extra room made a big difference. The thing I dont understand is why the new 738s arent coming in new with the extra room. They are very cramped.
