Either these guys have some info we don't - but otherwise the bilateral allows for a max of 14 frequencies a week - of which OS is already using 7 (DEL) + 5 (BOM) = 12 frequencies.

Interesting destinations and frequencies though! Does anyone have the website and current information of this airline?

My (very limited) knowledge of German tells me that this airline is being started by an Austrian of Indian origin - "Kandra Bhupider Bhupani". Interesting that the first 4 destinations are key tourist destinations in India - and should be rather easy to fill a 767 provided it's marketed well and there are tie-ups on the Indian side for hotels/tours etc.! Seems to be targetting the tourist traffic, rather than Business or VFR traffic.

makes sense to do so as others haven't done it as yet. They might even go to the extent of stimulating the tours/travel industry the kind we see in the west, where every other carrier is fly to Cancun.

Are we signing a new ASA with Austria? Or as Nimish says to these guys know more than we do, and even if we do sign a new agreement with Austria, OS has said that it is keen to expand services to India, so will the Austrian government give Golden City unfettered access.

This press-report from an Austrian newspaper puts a somewhat doubful note to the adventure..
No company with that name (Golden City Aviation ) has ordered any slots in VIE ,no official office...
No way to get hold of directors of the company - tel.end up nowhere..

I agree. I only believe this story when this airline is flying regularly. In the last few years we often heard about airlines coming out of nowhere and disappearing again very fast. At the moment I would book this airline in no way.

I'm glad some journalists decided to check on things rather than just parrot the company line. Certainly looks very suspicious, and there's little chance of this taking off the ground, unless as a charter service.

They need to employ a spell checker on their website for sure. Never knew there was a place called Bermingham, Rotherdamm or Tornto. Plus some cities are listed twice in the booking engine
