Flying CDG-MIA This Winter With AF

Thu Oct 12, 2006 6:31 pm

I am going to fly to MIA this winter with AF.The a/c is supposed to be a 744, and I would like to know which config I will get, and if the a/c will have PTVs.
Thanks!!!

Check this thread, reply 10:

Quoting (FLYSSC):

Quote:

F-GEXA / F-GEXB / F-GISC /F-GISD / F-GISE / F-GITE = new seats config 40J-393Y (including 57Y at the upper deck with PTV). No PTV in Y on the main deck. old IFE system BE2000

You will probably get this config, as it is the one that has been operated for the last couple of weeks on the CDG-MIA route:

12/10/2006 F-GISE
11/10/2006 F-GITE
10/10/2006 F-GISE
09/10/2006 F-GISE
08/10/2006 F-GISE
07/10/2006 F-GISE
06/10/2006 F-GISE
05/10/2006 F-GISE
04/10/2006 F-GISE
03/10/2006 F-GEXB
02/10/2006 F-GEXB
01/10/2006 F-GEXB
30/09/2006 F-GISE
29/09/2006 F-GEXA
28/09/2006 F-GISC
27/09/2006 F-GISC
26/09/2006 F-GISC

Y seats with PTVs are available only on the upper deck and these are reserved for elite members, but you can ask for one at check-in. There's a recent trip report in the trip report section about an a.netter doing this on a CDG-CCS flight (travelling on the upper deck)

I flew this route, ex CDG, last Winter. Can't recall which a/c it was but no PTV's in coach. Service was great though!

that's good news!!!
Unfortunately, I think it is the beginning of the end of the 744 at AF

CCS-CDG-CCS With AF In Y (by TGV Sep 29 2006 in Trip Reports)

(shameless self plug !)
Avoid 777 with 3-4-3 config in Y ! They are real sardine cans. (AF/KL for example)
