Who knows when DL will come out of Chapter 11..
Joking or not, it's not a nice thing to say for those on this board who work at Delta day in and day out trying to make it a better place.
One just has to look back in history to recall that there was a certain Houston based airline that took two trips down the Chapter 11 court...should we all have said the same thing?
Note - I have nothing against Continental, they're a great airline and my 2nd choice (parent's first choice) when flying. I applaud the employees for turning one of the worst airlines in the states into one of the best.
Now, if we were talking about a certAAin airline a few hours north of you guys, my beat would be to a different drum.
Ok - so back to Delta Air Lines, Inc. Hopefully Greinstein's successor is Jim. The man has vision and is the face of Delta Air Lines right now. The employees are backing him and everyone I know or have spoken to seems to think he's the guy for the job to further Delta's ambitious plan. At the same time, hopefully Bastian won't jump ship because he's passed over for the job. The two together can take Delta to new heights.
Having just stepped off of two flights on Friday (EWR
), it amazes me how genuine the in-flight crews are, even during troubled times. I think they also truly deserve credit for turning the big'ol lady from the south into a skinny red head named Jolene...
