Quite a few US airlines operate(d) some A300s: Delta Air Lines, American Airlines, Eastern Airlines, Pan Am, Continental Airlines...
I know American Airlines had a requirment for a large aircraft to be operated on the Caribbeans. But what about the other airlines?
American Airlines is now the last US carrier to operate the type. IIRC Continental Airlines retired its last one in 1995 (does stand correct?)
Could anyone provide me some information regarding the fleet or former fleet of A300s in the US?
Aslo I have heard the AA's A300s weren't first polished, like the rest of the fleet, as the Airbus get an anticorrosion coat on the metal skin. What color did
they paint them in? When did they start polishing them? Why?
Thank you very much,
