Tue Jul 04, 2000 10:31 pm

Which do you think is better, the Delta Shuttle or the US Airways Shuttle?

I only fly them on weekends, so I don't know how their higher-priced weekday service is. But I like the Delta Shuttle best because they serve a snack and the US Airways Shuttle only serves pretzels or something similar.

US Shuttle serves a nice little snack on weekdays. It consists of cheese, crackers, and a couple of other things. Pretzels are served on weekends. However, the DL shuttle's snack is more substantial. But in the end, it comes down to which one costs less, which one fits better in your FF accounts (US gives you 1000 on US, 1000 on AA roundtrip, DL only gives you 1000 on DL or UA) and which jet you prefer flying on. US has newer jets on the shuttle, with laptop power on all flights between LGA and BOS/DCA.

Can anyone answer the following quick questions;
Are US Airways just flying the A320 on their Shuttle flights now?
Have Delta started to introduce the 737-800 onto their Shuttle flights?
Do any Shuttle (DL/US) flights feature hot food?

Thanks in advance

US Airways is still flying a mix of aircraft on their Shuttle flights. In DCA last week, I saw three different Shuttle planes: A320, 737-300, and surprisingly, the DC-9-30 (I thought they pulled the DC-9-30's from Shuttle flights?)

DLX - Miles On Shuttle Flights

Wed Jul 05, 2000 4:17 am

My understanding is that you'll end up with the same amount of miles whichever one you choose:

US Airways allows you to "double-dip" into both your US Dividend Miles and AAdvantage accounts - 500 each.

Delta offers double miles for 1000 Sky Miles. United occasionally offers Mileage Plus members double miles for flying the DL Shuttle.

The First 737-800 in DL Shuttle Colors is expected in this month. Flights should begin less than a week after delivery.
