Its actually a B727, hence the 3 engines.

IIRC it landed in a very bad hail storm that caused the major damage. It was a apparently a bad decision by the crew to attempt to make the landing.

Ooops, how a pro like me (yeah right) could make a mistake like that Three engines indeed, it seemed unclear whose plane it was, just trying to fish info on that...

It probably belongs to Capital Cargo Airlines. I'm not sure how many 727s they have, but I think 2 or 3 are ex-CO aircraft. See this photo for comparision:

The fuselage paint is similiar to CO's scheme, but Capital Cargo's tail is white with concentric gold/orange Cs.
