This article was posted online a few days ago, it's about time they spent some money on Cape Town International.

Good news for CPT Airport and it is really necessary to improve the domestic terminal. Especially wide bodies should be able to use airbridges. I also assume that baggage claim areas won't be that crowded anymore and the departure waiting hall will have much more space.

I wonder where the mentioned additional parking bays will be done at CPT.

I haven't been to CPT since 2000 and I recall there being some work in progress but only to make the existing facilities nicer. Expansion will greatly improve DF Malan (do they still call it that?) and, with the World Cup on the way, it would seem just in time!

Still, I'll kinda miss having to walk off the plane and onto the tarmac, into the dry Cape Town heat - that's the only place I ever go (to visit the in-laws) that deplanes pax that way.
And you... Revolution, or just resistance?
