After seeing where NWA placed yet another a/c order with Embraer for the 36 E-jets (and the 787's last year) it made me wonder when they may be exiting from bankruptcy in light of this?
Also, for kicks, how does an airline in BK manage to finance billions of dollars for new a/c? Higher interest rates, leases, etc.?
Also, since NW was able to finance/order new aircraft how long will it be before DL starts placing orders with Boeing for the 787/777 and with Embraer for the E-jets (90 & 95's - least that is my thinking)? I believe they are planning on exiting sometime between spring and summer '07?
