They seemed to get a bid overshadowed though by the YHM announcement

Something Ive been wondering about since the flights were released though - why LGW when STN is GSM's London base?

The YVR and YYC flights that Globespan the parent company of flyglobespan used to operate with Air Transat have always been from LGW so they decided to keep these routes from there. YHM being a new route was released from STN.

YHM is effectively a replacement for YYZ though which Globespan/Air Transat always operated from LGW?

It might have been something to do with slots, as GSM hold slots at STN already not sure though. Looks like STN and LGW will be a dual base.
