Shooting Onboard Armenian Before Crash...

Fri Oct 20, 2006 2:47 pm

According to www.avia.ru, some of the passengers of the Armenian Airbus that crashed in Russia earlier this year made calls to the ground and said that there is a shooting going on onboard. The page is not available in English.
Very interesting devlopment. Very possible. People from that area of the area are known for their hot temper.

.. and not their exaggerated sense of passenger safety.

Or to quote Robin Williams: They have two sections on their flights: Armed and unarmed.

I'd heard this rumour before, but haven't raised it because there simply wasn't enough evidence. This is just a blog, from back in May - but at least it's in English. Make of it what you will:-

Try Cyrillic KOI-8R.

I actually surprised to see how so many apparently non-Russian a.netters speak Russian. Cool! The first Russian thread, in plain violation of the rules, but great nonetheless! óËÁÚÏ×Ï!

The one quoted above can be found here:

The one about the shooting I couldn't find that quickly.
I scratch my head, therefore I am.

BuyantUkhaa, thanks for the translations

Ne za shto!  Wink Although I realise I have inadvertedly added to the mess because my posts can only be read with Cyrillic (Windows) encoding, while for the earlier ones you still need KOI-8R encoding. Shame on you, Gates.

I can't get any web-based translators to give me any indication as to what the text might be saying in english.

Which begs the questions of...

how did a gun get on the aircraft ?

and how easy someone could get anywhere in the world once past security in this region by connecting planes.

They automatically scan every passenger from this region, regardless of airline as soon as they land as they get off the plane in any decent part of the world
So far in 2008 45 flights and Gold already. JFK, IAD, LGA, SIN, HKG, NRT, AKL, PPT, LAX still to book ! Home Airport LCY

Me cago en la madre que les parió! Que coño les pasa en la boquita? A ver si hablan o escriben como gente, joder. Hostias.

Back on topic. Shooting onboard? Why am I not stranged at all? Are there any security checks over there at all, or are the employees there occupied with frisking the bottles of Smirnoff?

Thanks for the english links and the translations. I can imagine it happened that way, but without proof it will be hard to tell if it´s the truth.
I flew with Aeroflot just after 2 domestic planes where bombed in 2004
and safety during the stopover in Moscow was still rubbish, they where in a real hurry when they screened the passengers, even if they could´ve started 1 hour earlier because the gate was empty. That´s Moscow, how do you expect a smaller country with less resources?

Do you guys realise that all these quoted allegations come from one and the same source, this Vladimir Pogosyan who no longer works for Armenian Airlines...?

Given the numerous conflicting reports that emerged shortly after the accident, I'm taking this one with a large grain of salt.
