Why Did OasisHongKong Choose Gatwick Over Stansted

Sat Oct 21, 2006 11:38 pm

I was wondering why Oasis HongKong airlines chose to fly into London Gatwick over London Stansted? Is it not cheaper to fly into Stansted?

Plus Stansted has the advantage of offering more low-cost flights to European destinations. It could set up a similar agreement as MaxJet does with EasyJet, Ryanair etc, where easy connections could be made.

Any thoughts?

MaxJet have no agreement with FR/EZY or any other airline at STN - they just show that if the passenger wished they could connect onto some FR and EZY flights. However they would need to book their connecting flight direct with FR, EZY or whoever and re check in again at STN
