Personally I always thought it was quite excessive that Jischke gets a mansion, his own jet, and $400K/year. I never understood why he, or any college president, should receive all that when there are dilapidated classrooms, sub par TA
's who don't speak English teaching most low level classes and hard working prof's not getting paid what they deserve. I say put the money towards the students and the school, not the aristocracy.
To get back to aviation, if Purdue was to get a Learjet what type would they buy? If I had to guess I'd say a Lear 60, good size and available brand new.
Despite my rant Purdue's aviation program is great and I would highly recommend it to any prospective students.
