Any Further Info On The DL Shtl Smoke In Cabin?

Fri Oct 27, 2006 1:23 am

Does anyone have any further information on the Delta Shuttle flight that landed in BOS last month with smoke in the cabin?

Specifically, I'm looking for a tail number and what the findings were. Also want to know if the a/c is back in service.

I checked the NTSB db and didn't find anything so I am assuming there was nothing serious.

Thanks All!

The findings would not be made public.....(9x out of 10 smoke in the cabin is a very minor event)
The aircraft would have been back in service within a few hours.....
The NTSB would not be called for smoke in the cabin....(unless evidance of fire was found)

Sorry for my ignorance, but just curious, the NTSB is not called in when passengers are forced to exit through the Emergency exits (Slides)?

I agree that it probably wasn't anything major. I was actually on a Shuttle flight a few months back that had one of the A/C packs break as we were pushing back. They had to pull us back in and we all had to exit the aircraft through the forward door (to the jetway). I was curious if this incident was the same aircraft.
