is there any plans by QF,UA, or NZ for additional services during the southern summer? Normally I know with UA they have additional service fromSFO and LAX during this time.

The downloadable timetable on united.com doesn't show any additional flights over the summer this year, but that timetable may be out of date.

NZ will operate NZ3/4 between December 17th and January 17th 2x weekly with a 772. Also some SFO flights will be 744's from November to January.

Where are the NZ 3/4 flights going to? LAX????

Is there any extension after JAN 17 for that flight?

Is the change to 744 for summer only or is that going to be a permanant thing because on NZ's website it still shows as a 777.

Thanks,

NZ3/4 are for AKL-LAX-AKL on 772ER.

While NZ are placing a 744 on 2 to 3 of their weekly AKL-SFO schedules, overall their capacity is slightly reduced as they've axed the Monday 772ER service.

NZ will be daily to SFO by Christmas and there are rumours that the 744 will continue to operate the route next year.

It shows 744 but you have to choose the specific day, you would have chosen a day when the 772 is on.

Really? I didn't think that was happening this year, next year though they will go double daily assuming they get the rights for YYZ-LAX-SYD.

Glad to hear an upgrade to SFO might be in the future.

Korean Air has gone back to 744 as of today for next few months.
Pretty sure Cathay are reverting back to A343/6 over summer period.
