Fri Nov 03, 2006 5:08 am

Yesterday, a DE A320 coming from PMI had to make a priority landing at HAM due to smoke in the cabin. It turned out that the batteries of a passenger's CD player melted down and gave this smell of smoke on board, which was quickly noticed by both passengers and crew. The pilot was informed of this and thus request a priority landing at HAM. All passengers were unharmed.
