Strange Codeshare On LH / EN 4002

Fri Nov 03, 2006 10:03 pm

I will be flying MUC-TRS later this year and am a bit confused about this issue:

My Air Dolomiti flight number is EN 4002. I checked the reservation system and it told me that the flight was operated by Lufthansa as LH 4002. So far so good. But when I checked LH 4002, it shows that that flight is operated by Air Dolomiti as EN 4002. Now maybe you will understand my confusion. Can anybody enlighten me on WHO really operates this leg?7

Thanks!

I had a look on the OAG. LH/EN 4002 is shown as an ATR - which means that it is an EN operated flight. AFAIK LH does not operate an ATR.

the real flight number is LH4002. all EN flights are operated under LH flight designator. however, in the booking systems, it shows also the EN code, as the airline which operates it.

None of them will operate your flight.

You'll show up at the airport and Lufthansa will say "Air Dolomiti will operate this flight", and Air Dolomiti will say "What? But we thought you were!"
