VS, AI, AN and SQ are beginning to make a lot of moves that appear to be leading down the path to a new alliance. The VS/AI codeshare on LHR-DEL comes on the heels of VS's new LGW-LAS service which is operated using a UK-US frequency leased from AI. AI themselves are looking to sell 40% to SQ. Meanwhile, SQ already owns most of VS and AN. Additionally, SQ is the most likely candidate to lease to AI 6 A310s, 1 744 and 2 743s to expand the winter service schedule.
