Question About Scandinavian Airlines (SAS)

Thu Nov 09, 2006 3:44 am

Hi all

Just a query concerning SAS and their different divisions.

Would I be right in saying SAS still operates 3 divisions, namely SAS Norway, SAS Sweden and SAS Denmark?

Are Braathens Airways now fully integrated into SAS Norway and is this division named SAS Braathens?

Are the Braathens fleets going to be painted into SAS's colour scheme and are all SAS Norway aircraft going to be re-named SAS Braathens?

Many thanks

Len Dutton
Fav aircraft has to be A340-600

Hey Len,

As far as I recall, the Norwegian division will be called SAS Braathens, next to SAS Denmark and SAS Sweden.

And indeed, the aircraft will be painted in the SAS livery with SAS Braathens titles and a norwegian flag on the back:

SAS is actually divided in five divisions: Scandinavian Airlines Denmark, SAS Braathens, Scandinavian Airlines Sweden, Scandinavian Airlines International and SAS Business Opportunities.
SAS Braathens has replaced SAS Norway.
