What Happened To The Turkmenistan 767?

Fri Nov 10, 2006 2:44 am

hi folks
Checking some pictures of T5 Aircrafts, i noticed that they received a 767 back in 2004. But didn't saw something of it since now...www.airfleets.net shows that it wasn't leased to some other airlines. But what happened to it? Do it stand around in ASB?

Thanks to all of you for answers

EZ-A700 was delivered in 2004, it is now operated by the Turkmenistan goverment. As it is operated for the goverment; you may not see it around much  Smile

Hi Rob

Thank you very much... yeah I bet the Government (is there one? I though there is only the "Men above all Turmenis" Big grin) isn't too welcome in some countries  Smile

Thank you

Kind Regards,
Lucien

It's probably being used as Turkmenbashi's private jet:

I've flown Turkmenistan airlines once. A Tu-154, before they got their 717s. That was sweet action, had a picture of Turkmenbashi on the front of the cabin.

The 757 should be leaving any day, if it has not left already... We performed a C check on the aircraft as well as converting it from a VIP interior back to a standard airline interior.
