Anyone Work For QF Ticketing/reservations?

Sun Nov 12, 2006 8:14 am

I'm trying to nail down a couple of business class seats AKL-LAX for October 2007, paid for using frequent flyer points. The website indicates no availablity for the day I want to travel.

Can anyone advise if this is likely to be because all available seats have been snapped up, or if the seats won't have been released by Qantas yet? Would I be best to keep checking and hold out for business class seats, or just take the economy ones (which are available) while I still can?

Many thanks to anyone that can help.

Award seats on the LAX route are very hard to come by! The seats are usually snapped up at 330 days in advance. It's not just by QF Frequent Flyers, but Continental, Alaska & AA to name a few!

Have you tried AKL-SYD-LAX?

Yeah just did - my computer laughed and gave me the finger

So in your opinion if there's no availability now, there isn't likely to be later? It does seem odd to me that business class avilability has disappeared before economy...
