Need Help ID'ing A Tower Air 747

Sun Nov 12, 2006 1:27 pm

Hi All,

I have this shot from the first Gulf War of a Tower Air 747 in Cleveland, and I need some help with the identity please. On the nose gear doors are the numbers "17503." I have done a search for Tower Air's fleet, but none of the searches come up with those numbersl. Can you guys help me out? I know you're the pro's!

Thanks- Chuck  Smile

Here's the shot:

Hey Chuck,
Quick question, was it a -100 or a -200? Make the ID a lot easier. I have been trying to find it.

How about this one? It might say 17503 on the gear door. I looked for ones with some combo of that number in the reg, this one had 03 in it.

I'm going to go with N603FF.

Edit: While trying to make sure I didn't look like an ass by posting the wrong plane, and checking my books, I was beaten to the answer.

Could have had new numbers on the gear door before the stripping of the paint. Ship N603FF HAD the numbers 601 or 801 on the gear doors in a picture dated December 5, 1999. Picture at the link below.

Thanks for the help so far guys...you may be right about 603FF....I still need some better proof to be sure though. Here's a closeup of the doors...definately 17503. Hmmm....

Did FF 741 fly CLE-Frankfurt-KWI military charters? Thanks in advance.
