PDT Start Turboprop Service To EWR

Mon Nov 13, 2006 2:20 am

In december we are starting turboprop service to EWR from PIT for US. It's all on DHC8-100s and 200s.

Is this going to replace all CRJ service on this route?

I think I would rather fly on a dash8 compared to a CRj. Block time can't be that far off on a shorter route, maybe 10-20 minutes.

No. On weekdays, there will still be a Trans States ERJ and two Air Wisconsin CRJ's, along with the Piedmont Dash 8.

I'll agree with you on that one. I'll take a Dash over a CRJ any day. Although some of Piedmont's 8's are getting a bit old.

Oldest one is about 22, about the same as some of the new FO's.

Yeah, I've seen some pretty young FO's get on the airplanes at MDT.
