Golden Airlines Get A+

Mon Nov 13, 2006 7:30 pm

I came along an article about Turkish start-up airline Golden Airlines. They began operations to DUS with B752. The article reports that German inspectors of SAFA surveys the aircraft for faults but didn't find any and so they made compliments to the airline for this. The article can be found here but still in Turkish http://www.airporthaber.com/hb/detay.php?id=10222

My question is: Who or what is SAFA??? And why do they survey the aircraft on its inaugural flight?

Another question: AFAIK Golden Airlines get its B752 from Atlasjet. Who maintance the aircrafts of Atlasjet and who of Golden Airlines?

No it's not a former Atlasjet aircraft! Former operator was Mexicana: http://www.ch-aviation.ch/aircraft.php?search=set&airline=GOL&al_op=1
