REQ Spotting Info LAX/LAS Please

Wed Nov 15, 2006 5:21 pm

Hi
Hoping to Visit LA and Las Vegas in Feb, can anyone help with
these questions?

When does the South runway at LAX reopen, the one being
moved for the A380's?

Is there any news on the Theme building opening?

Whats the latest on watching/photographing planes from
the roof of the SAS Radisson hotel at LAX?
I had heard it was no longer allowed, but then met someone
recently sho said its ok again.......

Where the best hotel to stay at Las Vegas to watch the action?

any suggestions please???

many thanks

Next year.

The Theme Building hasn't been closed. Are you talking about the spotting deck?

Mandalay Bay and the Luxor would be the best bets in LAS to sit around your room and watch airport activity. Request a high floor east facing room and bring your binoculars. Have fun!

Yes, there was some talk earlier in the year about the viewing deck
re-opening, anyone know more?

Honestly, that deck doesn't offer much of a better view than the T3 parking structure.
