Boeing: How To Start An Airline

Thu Nov 16, 2006 12:53 pm

From Randy's Journal:

"We've launched a Website called StartupBoeing. On the site are some tools and resources to help future aviation entrepreneurs get started. You could almost call it a "one-stop shop" for folks who have a serious interest in starting an airline.

StartupBoeing consolidates all the ingredients to get started: business plan outlines, airplane selection data, airplane sourcing information, and links to a wide variety of internal and external resources. Everything is geared to the specific needs of startup airlines."

You do not buy your fish at the hairdresser. So for an airline logo or livery you go to a specialist and not to Boeing?? Read this:

When I first read "Sir Richard's rule", I was thinking that it was that startup's order Airbus and that you could be the exception by ordering Boeing.

I've heard that quote attributed in various forms to SRB, Warren Buffett, Carl Icahn, and others. I'm not sure we will ever really know who said it.

I don't' understand their link for that graphic site. Unless they create big decals for actual airliners? It doesn't say on that site they create liveries.
