Well, basically people might say I am a moron for posting this, but it seems to be a serious issue right now as my tap water is yellowish/green. The water seems very unsafe.
I heard that the water in Richmond (where YVR is) is not contaminated, but it can be that other areas (where probably some of the water comes from) is extremely contaminated. Furthermore, I wonder about catering and where the crew is staying (Most of the crew stays in downtown Vancouver where contaminated water is a problem).
I would also wonder about how the catering is going. Obviously, I know that some of the materials (aircraft fuel) is manufactured in Burnaby but how will this affect ops in YVR tommorow?
I can just imagine how international airlines leaving for YVR making an announcement. "Water is Vancouver is very dangerous, we advise you once arriving in Vancouver that you use only mineral water for things such as: drinking, brushing your teeth, and making coffee out of." Almost like the safety video that I saw many times going to places where water quality was bad.
So will we see any effect tommorow at all or is the airport safe from the rest of the city? The advisory extends to 2 million people in the lower mainland so I assume it includes YVR as well.
Thx in advance and if I get the info wrong, please just tell me I'm wrong as I am no expert.
