Air Malta & Lufthansa Start Codeshare

Sat Nov 18, 2006 6:19 pm

The codeshare agreement announced by Air Malta & Lufthansa months ago comes into effect on the 27th of November. The codeshare agreement covers both airlines' flights between MLA & FRA and KM's MLA-MUC flights will also carry the LH code.

FRA-MLA LH4106 1015-1245 X (321) (KM1801)
MLA-FRA LH4107 1335-1630 X (321) (KM1800)

MLA-FRA KM328 (EQV) (LH1685)
FRA-MLA KM329 (EQV) (LH1684)

MLA-MUC KM304 (319) (LH1687)
MUC-MLA KM305 (319) (LH1686)

I still have no info whether other KM destinations in Germany will eventually codeshare with LH. Any info would be greatly appreciated.  wink

Actually, in this month's SWISS inflight magazine it says that Miles and More Passengers have the possibilty to earn and spend miles on Air Malta. It didn't say from when exactly but I though it highly interesting as this not only covers the code-shares between Germany and Malta but in fact all of KM's scheduled network.

Also, I also heard that KM and LX are currently working on a code-share agreement on flights between ZRH and MLA.

Makes you wonder. LH already seems quite involved with KM, what with the maintenance facility in Malta and all. Can we expect KM to join STAR as a regional member in the near future?

I have also heard that KM's CTA-MUC flights to be launched next summer will also carry the LH code.

I wonder if KM's MLA-GVA and CTA-GVA flights will eventually carry the LX code too. Interesting times indeed for Air Malta!

I think this is possible , they´ve been a LH partner for some Time , as far as I know.

Maybe KM goes LH Regional
