Regent Air 747 In 1986?

Sun Nov 19, 2006 9:01 am

Paging thru the 1986 OAG before auctioning it I wondered: did those Regent Air 747 nonstops to Honolulu really exist? For a couple months anyway they claimed to fly weekly JFK-HNL and back, ORD-HNL, MSP-HNL, IAH-HNL and DTW-HNL-- plus MCI-HNL once every two weeks.

Did they ever really operate a 747 at all?

(By the way, it said FY service, unlike their LAX-EWR 727.)

I´m pretty sure there was no such thing as a Regent Air 747.
