Who To Contact At US Airlines Re 1992 Flight

Tue Nov 21, 2006 7:16 am

I am looking to find out who I can contact at Us Airlines to find out the tail numbers for 4 flights I took in 1992. I emailed their customer service no luck just a canned response. Can any Us Airlines employees on the board help?? I know the flight dates and numbers just looking for tail numbers. Would there be any FAA reports that I can obtain thru a FOI request that would give me the numbers??
Thanks

I'm thinking that you may be out of luck. Odds are, the only records about the flight numbers you are interested in were private, airline-eyes-only records that have probably been long destroyed.

However, while it is possible they could still be in some obscure computer record somewhere, it is also likely that the work to find that info would require more effort than any airline employee would be interested in doing.

That being said, good luck, and if you do have any luck, please update this thread!

Ah US Airlines? I'm assuming you mean US Air? I doubt airlines keep records that long...certainly not which aircraft flew a particular flight. The FAA might have records, but not sure.

Give it up. United will not pay an employee to look that up for you.

You would have better luck getting getting the license plate number from the taxi you took to the airport that day. Then again we're talking about the DMV. From a customer standpoint, especially in 1992 the DMV was (is) a much more customer driven orginization.
