A little help from the AA folks out there . . .
I think the last time I flew AA was a 727 MIA-CUR in 1999. I found an excellent fare for this trip to 'Bama I have to take in June . . . so I just booked the trip - ANC-DFW-BHM and return.
I booked in F and found it curious that with few exceptions, the bulkhead row in F begins with row 2 or row 3.
AAs 738s, the first row in F is row 3?
AAs MD80s, the first row in F is row 3?
AAs 777s (version 2), the first row in F is row 2?
But AAs 777s (version 1), the first row in F is row 1?
Their A300s and 757s start with row 1 in front, but not the 767s - they start at row 2? Even the Saabs that fly with Eagle have a first row numbered row 3?
Can someone explain the logic/intent behind this? Does someone at AA have an aversion to the numeral "1"?
