PIA - C130s On Pax Flights....

Sat Nov 25, 2006 10:04 pm

I believe that after this year's PIA F27 crash in Multan, all of the F27 fleet were finally withdrawn.

I just checked the schedules on one of the routes previously flown by the F27 (ISB-PEW) and see that the a/c code is showing as '130'. I do remember reading that PIA would be forced to use Pakistan Air Force Herc's on certain routes.

I can not find any schedules for Islamabad-Saidu Sharif. I flew this route last January on a F27, and was wondering whether this route was axed when the F27s were withdrawn. Also, were any other routes withdrawn?

Any information would be appreciated.

Many thanks.

Saidu Sharif has been suspended, and C130 are doing Peshawar-Chitral, Islamabad-Peshawar, Islamabad-Gilgit services.
