Premium Class On First Choice Airways Short-haul?

Tue Nov 28, 2006 10:10 am

I know First Choices lonh haul flights have Star Class and Star Plus, but I was wondering if their short haul flights (A320s, A321s & B757s) also feature a Premium class?

Or do they just have an extra room feature, where you pay about £15 to have a little more leg room at the front of economy?

Also, which flights are scheduled? Is it the flights to Cyprus? Is the flight code DP or FCA? Why do they have scheduled flights?

I think it is available on the aircraft based at EMA.The front section has different seating and more legroom throught that part of the cabin. Also gives little extras Water, blankets and pillow. Not usre the meal is different.

Only FCA's A321's have the 'premium section'. I beleive there are 2 rows at the front (6 seats) which offer more legroom over the economy seats, 33" rather than 28". You get a complimentory drink before take off and one in-flight. It's a far cry from their long haul product, don't expect the full star class product. They've got the atlantic ocean between them! In my opinion, unless you are tall and want the extra legroom (which is essentially what you are paying for, its not really a premium product), its not worth it.

Having said that, I've flown with FCA 3 times this year on their 757, 767 (long haul) and A320 and I've been impressed with them every time.

So what happens when they use their B767s on short-haul services? Do they still sell Star Class Premium seats?

It just seems a bit odd. You can upgrade on some short-haul flights, and not on others!

There's 4 rows or "Premium" seating at the front of the A321's IIRC - blue leather seats (instead of green) and with a bit more legroom.

The only photo I could find of it doesn't exactly show all that much, but here it is Big grin

FCA don't use their 767's on short haul routes - they're all long-haul only.
