767-300ER

Wed Feb 24, 1999 10:31 am

Hey guys, well I finally bought my ticket to go to Holland this summer.

Im flying Martinair from LAX-AMS on Martinair. The equipment they are going to use is a 767-300ER.

My question is, what is Martinairs layout on economy class, and what do you guys recomend , which seat will give me better legroom? Is it true that you get more leg room in the emergency exits on the wing?

thanx

From my experience, yes you can get more (sometimes LOTS more) legroom on rows with fuse exits (besides the normal doors).

I got the exit row seat on a Delta 767 once. All the emergeny exits are full sized doors so you get a lot of legroom. I don't know if martinair has a simular layout but I always try to grab a window.

HI...You're getting the 767 eh? No MD-11? I am not sure of the configuration....I would hope it would be 2-3-2, but there's always the possibility that it's 2-4-2. You could call and ask i suppose. Yes you do have more room at the emergency exit, they put in a bit more space in case an emergency arises and that bit of space is needed. Just don't sit in the seat right BEHIND the emergency exit row. If you can't get that one go for the bulkhead. Both of these examples are probably going to be assigned at the airport checkin and not ahead of time like others. So get there early if you want those. Or call Martinair for details
