What Is Wrong With Silverjet?

Thu Nov 30, 2006 2:35 am

I don't understand Silverjet at all. I mean isn't Eos & Maxjet enough for all business class carriers flying NYC-LON? And why fly out of EWR as it is crowded enough already.

because a low cost business class carrier flying the north atlantic is the latest "dog with a bone" thing. except to see more operations and announcements until the route is over saturated

I think they would stand a better chance going out of MAN, although there are a lot of flights there are no biz only services. Not just that but there are easier connections to the north of the country (by surface transport) and also up to scotland.

I am surprised none of the trio has announced NYC to L.A. flights yet....

The primo transcon used to be awash in carriers that tried offering a premium only product. With the removal of more and more widebodies from the domestic fleets....I wonder if now is time to re-think these NYC-WestCoast premium products?

Just a note Silverjet is a UK company and the other two are US Based so why should we not "Fly the Flag".... Anyway STN is more difficult to reach for loads of passengers than LTN ....Also the service level looks to between EOS and Maxjet but the fare is about Maxjet level.. They also like travel agents and are offering deals through the trade in the UK..
