I regularly fly EK and haven't really found this to be a problem, you just pick your flights/aircraft. Same as if I am travelling with any other airline which has variations within its fleet

77W first class which i took from LHR last week, is more than very good, you have a small beverages bar, the amazing ICE system, seat separator and the fully flat bed-seat

with the delivery of their new aircrafts EY contructs more and more a standartised fleet and configuration. In all of their newer aircrafts the 3 classes are the same - B777, A345, A332. Some of the newer A332 have a 3-class-configuration with a suberp first-class like in the A345.
