Does SAS Offer Wireless On All Long Haul?

Sat Dec 02, 2006 6:54 am

Hi,

Does Scandinavian Airlines offer wireless internet on all long-haul flights? Also, can economy pax access this service as well? I'll be flying SAS938 (SEA-CPH) on their A340. Also, who can access the SAS lounge in CPH? Only "Elite" members, or can any SAS pax pay a fee to acess the lounge?

Thanks,

Vio

As Connexion By Boeing will be dicontinued at the end of the year, SAS now offers it for free. There is no difference between the classes, but only Business and Y+ has poweroutlets.

Lounge access can not be purchased - it's for Business Class passengers and premium SAS and Star Alliance frequent fliers only.

I flew SK938 back in May, and was unimpressed by the internet service. It took forever to view any webpages. I was able to get in the CPH lounge with a J boarding pass, but didn't see any showers. Maybe I didn't look hard enough.

I've had quite a good experience with the onboard wifi. I have even been using Skype with video. People at the other end were stunned as they realised I was like 10km's up in the air!

Too bad the service is being discontinued. I will miss it.
Future flights: CPH-BOS; CPH-SVG; CPH-PVG-HKG-MNL-DVO; CPH-CDG; CPH-NRT; CPH-MIA; CPH-PVG

As far as I remember do I think that there are some sort of shower or something like that which can be rented at CPH. if you go in to www.cph.dk you'll might find some there, but if I got time tomorrow I can see if I can finf it as im flying CPH-OSL tomorrow
