Does Mr Max realize the cult following he has on A.net? Or better yet do the folks at CO realize it? It would be fun if by the most minute remote chance one of them ever showed up at SLC! Most likely a diversion IF it ever happens.

Great, will keep reading for sure!
Hope Part VI brings MAX to IAH more often as I noticed he has been quite in love with EWR...

I'll be in IAH later this month, hope I can repeat and take a shot as last year (as in thread starter) specially at night!

They are planning to repaint ship N77014?

I think that would be a PR mistake on CO's part. Both Mad Max and Wunala Dreaming are the 2 most recognized paint schemes in aviation.

Only when it's worn down enough to need a visit to the paint shop .. While I haven't had a close look in some time, I'd say Old Max's artwork is holding up much better then I've seen on other CO flying machines.

Responsible? More like "at fault."  Wink  duck   flamed

Seriously, I follow the PM threads for one reason, to get a better idea of the life of a real airframe. Where do they fly? How much system variation? Amount of down time? From one thing I've learned from these threads, CO's 777 network has a bit of downtime. This isn't a bad thing, its required due to their global presence. But by having a dedicated fleet for long haul, they minimize the number of locations where PM naps. It definately emphasizes the need for fleet standardization.

IAHcsr, could I ask a favor? At the start of each PM thread could you put a decoder for how you use the symbols? Thanks in advance and thanks for the good work! (You are already on my RU list.)

Until then...it is cool to see.

EWR-LGW/FRA/CDG is under 9 hrs, and it flies those quite a bit.
EWR-IAH is well under 9 hrs, and cuts into the average each time it makes that run.

But if MAX shows up on any of those days I'll do my best to get to the airport, I'll be staying on a hotel near the Galeria those days but will move to the airport perimeter for the weekend.

Hope to see any of you guys there.

What's the big f*cking deal with one, single 777? Braniff had loads of airplanes that were a lot more fun to be pathologically obsessed with.

I was on CO88 PEK-EWR on Dec 15th and spent nearly 14 hours on Peter. I have to admit, a little smile formed on my face when I saw it turn off the runway and pull up to gate 13. Second time on Peter.

Does anybody know if this A/C will be in town(IAH T-E) on 1-8-2007, at around 3ish or is this to far in advance to know?
Also, should CO start a trend by painting all the 777's in special paint schemes.
For instance, get different artists to design a scheme whenever a bird is up for new paint.
